Bio: began his great career with the Phillies before heading over to Arizona where he and teammate Randy Johnson dominated and won a World Series in 2001. At Thanksgiving in 2003, Red Sox GM Theo Epstein dined with the Schilling family and signed him to a deal, believing he was the final piece to the World Series Boston long awaited for. Schilling helped bring the crown to Boston pitching two huge playoff games (ALCS Game 6 in New York, and World Series Game 2) with a true red (bloody) sock. He will be forever remembered in Red Sox Nation as a hero. Last season Schilling won his 200th game and got his 3000th strikeout.
Projected 2007 Statistics: 16-7, 3.65, 200, 180
Fantasy Outlook: obviously he isn't the ace he used to be fantasy value wise, though still a very valuable piece to any rotation. Could easily fill a two spot in your rotation, and would be a excellent three if you could somehow land him there. He's probably a $20 pitcher at the most, though you could land him for less.
